What we do
Four things, done properly.
Tree trimming & pruning
If the whole tree doesn't need to come down, we trim it back into shape. Broken branch or limbs over the house? We take those off so you feel safe.

Stump grinding
Once the tree is down, the stump goes too. We grind it out and clear the debris so the ground is usable again.

Crane services
For trees that can't be climbed and can't be dropped, the boom crane lifts them out in controlled sections — over houses, garages and tight yards.
How crane work runsWhy Rangel Brothers
The equipment decides whether a hard tree is safe.
A tree leaning over a roof, wedged between two houses or standing in a fenced back yard needs more than a chainsaw and a ladder. We run a boom crane for the heavy picks and a tracked spider lift that walks through gates and works where a truck can't reach — so limbs come off in controlled sections instead of being dropped.
- 01108-ft crane picks for trees over houses, garages and fences.
- 02Tracked spider lift for tight back yards and soft ground.
- 03Chipper and skid steer on site, so cleanup happens the same day.
- 04Local since 2010 — the same crew you'll see on the job.

Common questions
Do you give free estimates?
Yes. Call or email and we'll come out as soon as we can to look at the tree and quote the work at no cost.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Painesville and work across Lake County and the surrounding Northeast Ohio counties — Geauga, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Trumbull, Medina, Summit and Portage. Not sure if you're in range? Call and give us the town.
Are you insured?
Yes. Rangel Brothers Tree Service is fully insured and bonded.
Do you handle storm damage and emergencies?
Yes — we run 24/7 emergency service. If a tree is down or a limb is hanging, call 440-901-8427 any time and describe what you're looking at.
How big a tree can you take down?
Any size. With a 108-foot boom crane, a tracked spider lift and a five-man crew, no tree is out of range — by crane or by hand if that's what the access allows. Tell us what's there and we'll tell you how we'd approach it.
Can you work in a back yard with no truck access?
Usually, yes. We run a tracked spider lift that fits through gates and works on soft ground, so we can reach trees a bucket truck can't get to.
Do you grind the stump too?
We do. Stump grinding is one of our three main services and can be added to a removal or booked on its own for an old stump.
Do you clean up afterwards?
Yes. The chipper and skid steer come with the crew, so brush and debris go with us and the site is left clear.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes, residential and commercial both.
Do you have the equipment for big or dangerous trees?
Yes — that's the point of our fleet: a 108-foot boom crane, a 90HD+ tracked spider lift, a bucket truck, Bandit chippers and a skid steer. The right machine shows up for the job, so hard trees come down in controlled sections instead of being dropped.
Do I need to be home while you work?
No — as long as we can get to the tree and we've agreed on the work, you don't need to be home. Plenty of jobs get done while the owner's at work.
How does payment work?
We take all standard payment methods, and payment is due at completion — you don't pay before the work is done.
Will the equipment tear up my lawn or driveway?
We put ground protection mats under the outriggers and tracks, cone off the drop zone, and use crane picks instead of dropping limbs. Protecting the property is part of the job.
Need tree work?
Send the details and we'll come out and quote it free. If it's urgent, call — that's faster.
